Breaking news from the fashion world! Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West star in the newest Balmain spring/summer 2015 campaign, acting as the hottest celebrity couple ever while posing for the camera lens of Mario Sorrenti. It seems like every luxury fashion house has been trying to tap the most powerful celebrity as the face for their new season campaigns and after the Julia Roberts for Givenchy,Madonna for Versace and Nicki Minaj for Roberto Cavalli, Kimye break the Internet getting cozy and going in for a kiss in the new Balmain campaign, titled “Army of Lovers”. It’s the logical continuation of the first series of photos shot for the new season – the “Balmain Army” featuring Adriana Lima, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Isabeli Fontana, Joan Smalls and Christa Kober. The first part of the campaign turned out to be quite unique and memorable, still Kimye easily win the five bombshells with their version of Balmain luxury.

Kimye for Balmain Spring 2015 Campaign
Talking about his unexpected choice of Balmain’s spokesmodels, the creative director of the fashion house, Oliver Rousteing noted: “For this Menswear campaign, I wanted to capture a moment of love. Kim and Kanye are style icons and friends. It is an honour to have them in this Balmain campaign. Together, they represent love, beauty and diversity-they are the new modernity. This is more than a campaign, it expresses something beyond clothes – it is a celebration of love and friendship. This is a new statement for Balmain.”

Kim took the news to her Instagram account, publishing a photo from the campaign with a caption “BALMAIN!!!” Then Olivier Rousteing followed her uploading close up shots from the campaign on his Instagram account. In the photos, Kim is wearing a back-swept sleek hairstyle and a bold makeup with dark smokey eyes and well-contoured cheeks. Both she and her hubby don the coolest Balmain designs from the brand’s new season collection, looking stylish and hot as ever while posing by the luxury car.

They both have been known as big fans of Balmain and close friends of Oliver (they always sit front row at Balmain’s shows and this year North was also there with her parents), so it’s quite expected to see them star in the Balmain spring 2015 campaign. Still, the news is going to break the Internet, like Kim’s Paper cover did a while back!

Windowpane Checks Street Style Inspiration

Being amazing alternatives to the traditional plaid, tartans and other forms of graphic-geometric patterns, windowpane checks have been gaining lots of power recently becoming a must-have in the wardrobes of stylish fashionisers. If you are looking for ways of adding freshness to your looks and looking unique when wearing prints and patterns, forget about those classic leopard and floral printed clothing pieces and instead embrace winter’s biggest trend of windowpane checks. Due to its subtle character and sophistication, it can be easily mixed and matched with a variety of other patterns. Besides, windowpane check clothing pieces work amazingly with office looks, as well as can be put together with casual fashion staples, such as jeans and sporty chic pieces. Below see 8 ways you can wear windowpane check in winter!

1. Windowpane Check with Brights: They are so subtle and modest that can easily be teamed with more eye-popping bright pieces, like we see it in case of this chic look. A little navy blue dress with white windowpane check looks more statement-making when topped with a bright orange coat. You need so little in terms of styling this look, as it does stand out already this way.

As the next look in this photo illustrates, windowpane check can look stylish with neutral pieces too, although in this case it appears much toned down and minimalist.

2. Windowpane Check with a Statement Piece: Pair your windowpane check oversized knitted turtleneck with a statement wrap skirt in khaki and you’ll have a stunning office, formal or casually elegant look. A pair of heeled pointy-toe mules and a chic oversized black bag with golden handles will perfectly finish off your look, and when it comes to beauty, stick to natural makeup and bedhead hair to add a more laidback allure to this classy outfit.

3. The Windowpane Check Sweater: When it’s a functional navy blue windowpane check sweater you have so many ways of styling it. Pair it with jeans or tailored pants or team it with a lovely flared mini skirt in a dark shade, such as emerald green, and your cute casual look is ready to stop the traffic. A cozy checkered scarf and some gold jewelry pieces will only add to the chic of this outfit.

Ways of Wearing Windowpane Check in Winter

4. Windowpane Check with Basics: Revisiting basics and updating them with a modern spin always leads to fresh looks perfect for every occasion. A simple navy blue windowpane check turtleneck can add so much luxury to your simplistic white pants, especially when you layer your look with a stylish gray cape-style coat. A pair of rounded sunglasses will inject a retro allure to the overall look.

Tips for Wearing Windowpane Check in Winter

5. Oversized and Bright Windowpane Check: Playing with textures and colors is always a great way of creating unique looks. Subtle windowpane checks will look so invigorating on the background of Crayola-orange knitted separates, especially when those are oversized and feature lovely fringe details on the hems of the top. It’s the oversized look of those designs and the brightness of the color picked that make this look so one-of-a-kind. Add a pair of pointy-toe golden pumps and an uber-flirty pencil-box resembling clutch in the same bright orange shade and be ready to draw all eyes on you as you pass by!

Ideas for Wearing Windowpane Check in Winter

6. The Windowpane Check Pants: Instead of picking a windowpane check top and matching it with neutral bottoms, you can do vice versa for more creative looks. A simple white shirt or blouse will look so perfect when tucked inside a pair of navy blue windowpane check tailored pants. You have endless accessorizing options, since the look is quite minimalist and adding statement accessories will instantly jazz it up.

7. Windowpane Check And Stripes: Pick sister colors like black and white and sister patterns such as windowpane checks and vertical stripes and you’ll get the most winning proportion ever! You can add either colorfully bright accessories to the look or stick to metallic gold or silver pieces for more classy outcomes. This outfit is so versatile and can be sported to various places.

8. Colorful Windowpane Check with Stripes: You can also choose either the bottom or the top in much brighter shades when teaming windowpane checks with stripes. This creates a beautiful contrast between the patterns and the separates and can also be a great trick for balancing your silhouette, if you have any small figure flaws.

DSquared2 Pre-Fall 2015 Collection

We have seen many amazing themes, trends and creative design interpretations in the latest pre-fall 2015 fashion lines, yet the DSquared2 pre-fall 2015 collectionstill manages to surprise us with its opulent ethnic and folkloric influences merged with subtle masculine vibes, sexiness and lots of luxury. For the upcoming transitional season the DSquared2 girl indulges in frivolous mini dresses with fluffy skirts featuring the most complex prints and patterns, where there is absolutely no room for a restrained color palette. It’s bold, it’s creative and it’s definitely for the self-confident and creative fashionisers, for whom putting together outstanding outfits that scream for attention is just a cakewalk!

DSquared2 Pre-Fall 2015 Collection

We could never believe that Gypsy and Russian influences could look so amazing when combined together. We might have considered it too much excluding the possibility of using more than one folkloric theme in a single look, yet the DSquared2 pre-fall 2015 collection skillfully proves the opposite. Dean and Dan Caten weren’t afraid to create shocking contrasts by intermingling blanket-like knitted fabrics with grungy black leather and flirty fringes in a number of bold looks, like the high-waisted ethnic skirt with a leather insert on the waist and a side slit that looked so chic in combination with the simplistic black turtleneck, or the pair of deconstructed leather culottes with a quilted design and lots of punk rock zips that came teamed with a knitted turtleneck sweater with ethnic patterns.

From rich burgundy and red to black, cobalt blue and yellow, the collection features quite pleasant autumnal shades, which become even richer when combined with bold diagonal stripes, plaid, ethnic patterns and Matryoshka-inspired colorful floral patters in vivid colors, which decorated a lovely bohemian-style organza mini dress that we so much crave for. The same diversity exists in the fabrics, designs and lengths available, as we discover leather, wool, organza, chiffon, blanket-like materials and so on. The pants are cut at the tea-length mostly bringing back the trend of culottes, while the dresses and skirts are either super mini or tea-length with just two or three ensembles reaching the floor. To this end, we should mention those elegant floor-length gowns in black and cobalt blue closing the collection, as well as the gypsy-style maxi skirt with lush floral patterns.

DSquared2 Pre-Fall 2015 Collection

DSquared2 Pre-Fall 2015 Collection

Our ultimate crush of the entire collection? Boy oh boy, we just dream to have those flirty little dresses with full skirts embellished with the most imaginative prints and patterns and one of them being a plain black design with a gorgeous black belt accentuating the waist. The collection also offers a new design of the classic tuxedo, which features wool and silk and is composed of a form-fitting jacket and cropped drop-crotch pants. What else do you need for creating chic looks every single day and for every occasion during the upcoming transitional season?
