Chanel Couture Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Fashion

Unveiling his Chanel Couture spring/summer 2015 collection, Karl Lagerfeld once again managed to make the audience swoon with the drop-dead gorgeous designs showcased and the beautiful backdrop created. It’s a collection where traditional Chanel staples collide with modern elements and shapes, which turns each and every piece presented into a real work of art that we want to own so much!

Chanel Couture Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Chanel, the brainchild of the illustrious Coco Chanel, is one French fashion house that’s hard to compete with. Specializing in haute couture and ready-to-wear designs, alongside luxury goods and fashion accessories, the brand boasts a whopping 6+ billion EUR revenue and has become the personification of many an actress and model, including Vanessa Paradis, Nicole Kidman, Keira Knightley and Marilyn Monroe! It’s no wonder that we are currently watching the fashion show take place with bright anticipation shining in our eyes. We are all in love with the amazing Chanel, with its signature little black dress, the Chanel No 5 perfume and those impeccably stylish suits.

Of course, the first pieces of the Chanel Couture spring/summer 2015 collection are suits, gorgeous orange, cobalt blue and sunflower yellow hues that really embody the spring season. The whole of the catwalk is made to look like a blooming wonderland, transitioning from the winter into the warmer weathers of spring. The shorter midi skirts are a bold move to recreate the typical Chanel suit it has been known for, while the tweed fabric is still as much a statement for the brand as always. The whole of the series tends to focus on either suits with matching woollen bottoms or suit jackets paired with wide A-lined skirts. The trends tend to keep the hemline at a midi level, either above or below the knee, while a few pieces do tend to reach the floor. No dress or suit is seen with a mini hem. We do see some fringe appear, while many of the ensembles feature bared midriffs. We do see some see through material, as well as a lot of Chanel’s signature tweed line. The colors generally seem to range in the realm of cream, white and black, while blue, yellow, orange, pink, green and red do pop their heads. Primary colors seem to be the thing here for the most part, while keeping to a rather interesting mindset of seeing winter transition into spring. There’s very little summer apparent in the collection, overall.

It might do well to mention the boots and the headwear showcased throughout the Chanel Couture spring/summer 2015 collection show as well. There’s something rather masculine about the way the models’ feet are clad in low heeled leather half boots that have neither embellishment nor feminine appeal. They are utilitarian and somehow speak about comfort over impressive style. While the footwear remains non-attractive, the amazing array of hats certainly catches the attention and holds on tight. Those wide brimmed straw hats with their tulle weaving giving it a chic appeal certainly go well with those amazing suits, while knit headwear also becomes a focus, what with the half veils semi-hiding the eyes and nose from view. We can clearly see that each piece placed on the head is meant to balance out the strength in the red on the lips that’s so very captivating and adds sensuality to the more European based designs. Mesh veils cover the eyes of most models as they appear on stage to present latest in trendsetting looks. Feathers, flowers, fuzzy spikes and all form of embellishments adorn the hats we see while the tulles used on so many come in black, white, and purple hues.

The Chanel Couture spring/summer 2015 collection show has definitely been one fun event to watch and the designs are sure to be seen on the red carpet soon enough!

Atelier Versace Couture Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Fashion

We are almost positive we have died and reached fashion heaven; at least where Versace is concerned. Those pieces that were worn as the gorgeous models glided down the catwalk for the Atelier Versace Couture spring/summer 2015 collection were positively dazzling, in reds, blues, whites and black sequined designs.

Atelier Versace Couture Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

The pieces that Donatella Versace began the show with were highly glamorous, accentuating the curves of the body by keeping things rated below the X-level but still showing off enough skin to tantalize the senses and truly drive one mad. The dresses were all long, form-fitting and with waving cut-outs that showed off peels of skin. It’s as if the whole inspiration was brought about by use of a lemon zester. The message is simple; there’s a certain encouragement in developing confidence in one’s own sensuality, showing off parts of the body that normally stay covered up. Each dress literally does the signature Versace sucker-punch, which makes the whole Atelier Versace Couture spring/summer 2015 collection even more appealing. Donatella Versace has described this collection as being about cuts and the curves of a woman’s body. And in truth, it appears that there are no straight seams to be found in the whole of the series, each dominated with curved designs. Despite including daywear, the whole of the collection seemed to focus more on red carpet-worthy styling, with the hourglass curves on the gorgeous elongates silhouettes creating a vision of winding, undulating and sinuous lines.

Gorgeous black pantsuits which broke apart on one shoulder opened up the Atelier Versace Couture spring/summer 2015 collection, while we were all treated to youthful emoji-embroidered mini dresses with matching knee-length boots, as well as captivating evening gowns with swirling arabesque insets of nude mesh. With few that included beading, this line for the spring/summer seasons has its focus on the cut and the fit of each dress.

Model Natasha Poly presented the first of the collection at the haute couture show on Sunday night, showing off a rather intriguing pantsuit look that fit tight around the hips and want on to fall in a light manner to the floor. The suit jacket appear to be made of two different pieces, at least in terms of cut, with one side chic and sophisticated and the other cut out at the shoulder to reveal smooth skin, a defines collar and a section of the center right side of the chest. Definitely set the tone for the rest of the collection that was to be presented.

The pantsuits themselves are all incredibly tight at the waist, around the hips and the thighs, showing off your curves (or lack of them) with clear intent. Every edge of your hipbones will show, while you bare the top of a single breast along with your shoulder as you have a long sleeve on one side and more of a halter design on the other. The asymmetrical lines and curves are definitely to be applauded.

So typically gorgeous, with batching royal blue suede boots and a puffed A-line skirt, the royal blue full-skirt dress is spectacular in design and articulation of fluid imagination. The cut out at the shoulder over the longer sleeve compliments the sliver of skin that shows below the left bust, as well as the bare arm on the other side. The large belt brings the focus down to the center of the dress and allows the eye to enjoy the curving waves of royal blue fabrics.

Of course, we are treated to sequins as well, in the form of all types of dresses, particularly the red mini that has images that somehow remind us of the sea, curving sequin lines that bring the focus up to the chest, and matching sequin suede boots that certainly look just as amazing as the dress. It’s easy to imagine ourselves donning such pieces.

Prada Pre-Fall 2015 Collection

Fashion

Prada is bringing high school teenagers into the realm of high fashion, introducing the class of the Prada pre-fall 2015 collection to the Italian luxury brand’s amazing designs. Of course, it appears as if Prada is creating a whole new brand of uniforms for these chic young ladies with their terrible hairstyles and freakish shoes that are a combination of tread-soled duck-shoes, trainers and brogues. And then there is Prada’s gorgeous but sober pleated pinafore dresses and utilitarian-classic coats which are the brainchildren of Miuccia Prada, granddaughter of founder father Mario Prada in 1913.

Prada Pre-Fall 2015 CollectionWith the women’s ready-to-wear fashion available since their launch in 1989, the Prada designs became known for their dropped waistlines and narrow belts, clean lines, opulent fabrics and basic colors. The anti-snobbish behaviour of the brand shot it up through the roof in the 1990s, when Prada’s originality made it one of the most influential fashion houses, its focus on the working class turning it into a premium status symbol throughout the decade.

Now, the Prada pre-fall 2015 collection comes with normal, useful pieces in unflashy colors and designs and potential to once again cause a battle between the hordes running to Milan to possess the brand’s plain and simple utilitarian techno-nylon clothes, the cashmere V-necks and everything else they can get their hands on, as was the case in the ‘90s. Some of those old favorites are pulled into the 2015 styles as well, though a new direction seems to be opening up if the blue-red-white tartan coat at the end of the collection offers any information. It’s exciting to see what comes next!

There’s something very masculine about the way the modern recreation of a high school student’s uniform would be like, with an untucked shirt in a professional blue hue, a midi skirt in pleated black and a long knee-length jacket to cover it all up. The bag is large and could easily carry books, while the shoes are certainly nothing fancy, shiny and black and very school-worthy. There’s nothing particularly chic about the look but it is simple, dark and utilitarian, entirely in harmony with the Prada tastes.

Prada Pre-Fall 2015 Collection

For something more coquettish, a little more on the pretty side, but still reminding us of a tomboy trying to dress as a girl, the deep V-neck pleated gray dress with a midi length hem and buckled belt is actually a rather awesome piece for girls like me who enjoy the less than feminine but not quite masculine designs. The shoes are for comfort more than for style it appears, but that are certainly not ugly in the least. The gloves bring a more feminine touch, while the little back will probably to be able to carry much in school products unless we plan on working on tablets.

The red, blue and white tartan coat offered the only bit of color in the whole of Prada pre-fall 2015 collection, with the buckled belt and black shirt underneath keeping to the pre-fall collection’s general theme, while the knee-high boots and French colored designs pointing towards what may be coming up in the future collections. The hair is tied in a high ponytail, but there’s something quite appealing about this look that piques our curiosity. It’s certainly a piece worth adding to the pre-fall wardrobe this year and perhaps we’ll be able to keep wearing it into 2016, should the tartan look suddenly become a prominent design for Prada’s upcoming lines of products.

Oysho Gymwear Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

Fashion

The Oysho gymwear spring/summer 2015 collection includes attire that’s perfect for hitting the gym, with fabrics that shape your figure beautifully, prints that bring a stylish nature to the world of exercise, and neon colors that are sure to keep you going. You want to look good not just in your skin, but also your clothes, and Oysho’s 2015 gymwear collection has all the pieces you need to achieve that goal.

Oysho Gymwear Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

With the New Year came the New Year’s resolutions, which often enough hinges on losing a good amount of weight. It’s about diet and, most importantly, exercises that including toning up the body, shaping the thighs, getting stronger and maybe taking up a Pilates class or two. Some have already fallen off the horse, not even a month in. Others are teetering on the brink, getting lazier with the colder weather. That’s the problem with New Year resolutions: you make it in the middle of winter and then by the time the spring weather rolls around when it is more likely for you to keep to it, you have already set those goals aside. The best way to get into the mindset to exercise is to first buy a gym membership so that you feel obligated to go, and secondly buy yourself gym clothing that is going to make you feel sexy as you do your squats and lift your weights.

For the proper attire, it might do you best to turn to Oysho, a Spanish women’s clothing company that began with a focus on swimwear and then lingerie, a brand that has just released the chic Oysho gymwear spring/summer 2015 collection so that it may be easier to look your best while keeping to a strong will and getting your body fit. If you’re going to be showing off a bikini body come summer, it’s best to lay off the fatty foods now and head out for a run on the treadmill, a swim in the gym’s pool, or just plain Yoga and Pilates lessons. You will notice a great deal of difference in how you look and feel afterwards.

Oysho Gymwear Spring/Summer 2015 Collection

A racer-back fitted top, a sports bra to give you some form of support and a stretch tight pair of leggings have you looking amazing as you sculpt that body to the max. The pieces fit you like a glove here, showing off every curve and every indentation, giving you the motivation to rid yourself of the extra bulges and work on creating the perfect 4-pack.

If boxing style exercises are more your style, the boxer shorts in dark blue and black prints tied at the waist look great with a comfortable sports bra offering support and when you are done or need to take a break, the gym robe comes in very handy, preventing the cool breeze from causing problems by hitting your sweaty open midriff.

You’ll be the queen of the gym wearing the awesome combination of tight yoga pants with a higher waist, in an earth-tone dusty color, and matching gray cotton tee to absorb the sweat as you enjoy a good stretching or heavy workout. It’s definitely one of the best gym looks from the Oysho gymwear spring/summer 2015 collection meant for the more conservative types.

Wildfox Couture Swimwear Cruise 2015 Collection

Fashion

The Wildfox Couture swimwear cruise 2015 collection is totally inspired by the ‘90s, with a whole lot of reminders ofBeverly Hills 90210 and Clueless in there. These are rather intriguing cuts and silhouettes that present gingham prints and retro florals alongside sips and sunny straps. There’s something very Baywatchabout it all as well! Models Masha Gutik and Ana Kai really show off their amazing looks clad in positively covet-worthy swimwear designs.

Wildfox Couture Swimwear Cruise 2015 Collection

Women’s and children’s clothing, lingerie, jewelry, and sunglasses are a staple of Wildfox Couture’s brand. It’s all about the American vintage styles, going for the sporty and chic in whatever the brand offers. Since 2007, the Wildfox idea has become a registered reality in the United States, wherein Emily Faulstich and Kimberly Gordon have brought a new style of intimates, accessories, swimwear, and even shoes to the market. The clothing is to their taste and definitely popular among the youth of the modern day, wherein you have fun prints and cool quotes dotting the apparel that includes tees, jeans, shirts, hoodies, sweaters, dresses, skirts and so much more. Since 2012, the brand has been very much in demand and represents love, friendship, curiosity and an inherent enjoyment of life, designed for those, who are youthful, free-spirited, love to dream and eat chocolate at night, those who love to explore and discover the world around them. Zips and sporty swimwear abound! True to its classic styling, the Wildfox Couture swimwear cruise 2015 collection features navy blue and bright pink designs that zip high at the collar and are short-sleeved, with open midriff and cheeky simple bikini bottoms. It’s stylish and sexy without being too revealing, while the zips hide the mysteries covered over with gorgeous swimwear.

Suggestive lines printed over the chest showing off the fact that the black one-piece is available for you if you want it are also a staple of this year’s collection, especially on the high cut single pieces with a sexier twist. You have the bust showing off, the leggy design and the simple coloring with special messages emblazoned over the body parts that are available for some fun.

The next piece all about being a wild thing, apparently! The double straps are an intriguing addition that moves this piece from fabulously preteen to young adult in a flash. It’s all about showing off the legs, baring the midriff and covering up the chest in a simple design. It’s sporty, with no enhancement on the bust and a clear indication that you are all about having fun, taking chances and throwing your worries to the wind.

Talking about an itsy bitsy teeny weenie gingham style bikini, the next one’s a sweet version of sexy, complete with the stringy bottoms and bows tied all around. The daisies across the best area and the edges of the bikini bottom give it a bit of a southern pretty twist, while the whole ensemble is simply gorgeous. We like this one for showing off our bikini bods, though it will be driving our men up the walls!

Black and white stripes in a knit design are in, complete with the stringy top and high waist bottom or the single piece with a huge flower adorning the side of the chest. Add some leather and gold plated chains to the mix, don on the black and white oversized circular sunglasses or the wide-brimmed hat and you have some rather delectable beachy looks!

Florrie for H&M Spring 2015 Campaign

Fashion

H&M has certainly been busy of late and we are very happy to see its spring 2015 campaign take on a boho charm. We have pop singer Florrie representing the Swedish multinational retail clothing company in the newest H&M spring 2015 ad release showing off the looks of the next season. It may still be winter here, snowstorms and icy weather and all, but it’s never too early to start preparing our spring wardrobes, particularly if February promises temperatures around 10 degrees Celsius. The 26-year-old British singer and songwriter is also the face of the H&M Loves Music collection. It was recently announces that the brand would be releasing new merchandise designed in cooperation with Coachella, the music and arts festival held annually for two weekends comprising of 3 days at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. It’s located in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. There are multiple instalments to this Love Music campaign and Florrie has taken the front end of the brand’s latest looks for the upcoming months.

Florrie for H&M Spring 2015 Campaign

“H&M has a strong heritage of aligning itself with top talent; working with up-and-coming musicians like Florrie is a great way to create an affiliation with young consumers and ultimately generate further interest in the brand’s core product offering,” stated Emma Grede, the chief executive of a brokerage linking entertainment and fashion, known as ITB Worldwide.

Florrie has stepped out into the limelight here wearing the season’s trends of fringe, denim and hats, all of which present the Divided collection set to hit stores and online on January 22nd. This one’s all about music and Florrie has trouble containing her excitement. “It’s a brand that I’ve always loved and have shopped. Style means something different to everyone. Music and fashion are both ways of expressing yourself creatively, and both are very personal things,” says the artist.

Black tight leather leggings that are thick and look rather comfortable are a major look overall, with the material definitely making multiple appearances throughout the collection. The hairy hot pink fluffy angora sweater looks amazing with the look, larger in size so that its looser look counteracts the tightness of the lower body’s garments. Add some longer chains and pendants to the mix and enjoy playing that guitar because you look fabulous!

Florrie for H&M Spring 2015 Campaign

We thought the kimonos were out but H&M’s definitely keeping to last year’s style in this and adding a loose fringed white top and leather mini shorts to the mix, thus effectively bringing gorgeous floral prints on a satin look to the grunge-type fashion sense. Needless to say, we absolutely love, it, particularly when accessories with longer gilded chains and blue stone pendants.

Yee-Haw!! Tis a rodeo we are getting ready for here it seems, with the lovely loose floral print mini dress covered over with a svelte black fringed sweater (the fringes both on the sleeves and the shoulders at that) to enjoy the gentle spring breeze in. A couple of gilded rings and a choker necklace will do the job nicely in adding classy to the more edgy look, turning it into something positively pretty.
